The Sei community is standing out from the rest as one of the most vibrant communities in Crypto. From the team, devs, investors, end users, and die-hard Sei fans all contribute to the network’s success so far. The team and community at Sei Network have shown no signs of slowing down with progress surrounding the development of the layer one blockchain.

Right in the second half and third quarter of the year, Sei has been able to achieve so many milestones and it is safe to say that we are not too far off from the anticipated mainnet launch.

PARTNERSHIPS AND INTEGRATIONS

Sei Network has been very active in the area of integration and partnerships throughout the year. This has caused the Sei ecosystem to expand into a complex network of DeFi, Gaming, and NFT projects building on the fastest layer one. Several reputable decentralized companies have joined the network and more continue to.

The more recent projects to get onboard in the month of July include Pyth, a top oracle network trusted by eighty-plus institutions that will provide the Sei community with 250 plus real-time price feeds for a wide array of assets. Kawa Finance, an innovative, cross-chain decentralized lending protocol offering perpetual, variable-rate loans and designed to meet the increasing need for interoperability among various blockchains also joined the ranks.

Sei has also been making efforts to kick off its gaming ecosystem in the right direction and in the month of July saw web3 gaming giants such as Tatami and Blockus join Sei Network’s gaming landscape. Tatami joining Sei Network means that Sei provides a perfect home for Tatami, with both entities sharing a vision for the future of gaming in Web3. Tatami integrates with the Sei ecosystem, its broad connections and capabilities within the Web3 realm enable it to become the go-to platform for developers seeking growth and monetization opportunities. With Blockus Sei offers its gamers an In-game NFT marketplace plugged into Unity & Unreal, fiat + crypto checkout for NFTs and FTs as well as Web2 + Web3 unified login account management. These integrations are a statement of Sei Network’s bid to take its web3 gaming ecosystem to new heights.

The month of July also saw SportsSpreads, a DeFi Market Maker become part of Sei Network’s Liquidity Alliance Program. Sei Liquidity Alliance provides credible developers and builders on the Sei Layer One blockchain with the liquidity they need to fuel their growth and concentrate on building protocols. This eliminates the need to invest time and resources in establishing their market-making capabilities. A perfect solution to help kicks starter projects with huge potential.

AMAs AND COMMUNITY EVENTS

The Sei Foundation kept the Crypto community on its toes with a series of AMAs and community events. Some of the most notable of them was the AI + Web3 Pitch Competition in collaboration with OnePiece Labs held Online between June 22 to 30. This event put up a very generous prize of the sum of $30,000 for the best ideas and submissions.

Sei Foundation’s head of Asia, Alvin Kan, made an exciting appearance at GM Vietnam, Vietnam Blockchain Week and spoke on how Sei will play a key part in growing Web3 in APAC. This speaks volumes about Sei’s commitment to its Asian expansion. The Sei team will also be sailing into Paris, France for EthCC from July 16th-21st to connect with Sei international community.

During the month of July, Sei Network held an interactive Twitter Spaces AMA with Tatami and Blockus to discuss what the collaboration between Tatami, Blockus, and Sei meant for the web3 gaming ecosystem. In addition, Sei Co-Founder Jayendra Jog will be speaking at a very anticipated Fireside Chat on the Future of Web3 & AI on July 18th. Registrations are still open as of the time this blog was published.

SEI NETWORK UPGRADES

Sei has achieved quite several milestones in product upgrades, some of these upgrades include Sei Bridge with now supports wormhole assets. SeiScan which is a Block Explorer for the Sei Network ecosystem to explore network transactions, statistics, and other metrics has been officially launched. SeiScan is a high-performance tool, that ensures every Seilor can navigate the network with unparalleled ease.

Very recently Sei Network announced that they had improved state sync by 67%, greatly increasing block sync speed. State sync is essential for new nodes to join Sei’s decentralized network quickly. It allows them to catch up with existing nodes and actively participate. This feat was achieved with Parallelization. This means by dividing the work into smaller chunks and processing them simultaneously, we can harness the power of multiple CPU cores and speed up the state sync process.
